The primary and kindergarten class focuses on the strong organizational skills as well as the acquisition of basic mathematical concepts and language (enrichment of vocabulary, grammar) geography, history, culture, art, music, etc. Children at this stage go through different sensitive periods of development and are very active in their style of learning.
Play and Learning Experiences
The prepared environment of our Montessori class room is decorated with material of indirect and direct preparation of geography, science, Biology, Art, Music and Cultural subjects. The skill emphasis in the class is on Mathematics, reading and writing. Basic concepts of symbols, quantity, tens, teens, hundreds, thousands etc are given at an early level. More complex rules of mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division are introduced to a child upon mastery over fundamental concepts. Vocabulary, I spy, snake and memory games are a few examples of learning strategies in our class room.
